Demi Lovato Recovering After Allergic Reaction

Demi Lovato appeared to be briefly hospitalized on Tuesday, October 27, following an allergic reaction. The pop star took to Instagram to share a photo of herself receiving medical treatment with an IV in her arm while wearing a hospital bracelet.

Lovato hypothesized that she developed a new allergy to either passionfruit or sushi, writing 'Soooooo i’m either allergic to passionfruit or sushi now' in a since-deleted post. She has battled various allergies over the years, including an allergic reaction in 2009 while filming an episode of Sonny With a Chance.

The 34-year-old singer has been open about her allergies, including being badly allergic to pets like cats and dogs. On the music front, Lovato released her dance-pop album It’s Not That Deep in October 2025, which peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard 200, as reported by Billboard.

Lovato assured her fans, known as Lovatics, that she is fine and recovering from the health scare. This update comes as a relief to her fans around the globe.
