Tame Impala Covers Seal's 'Kiss From a Rose'

Tame Impala covered Seal's 'Kiss From a Rose' and played 'Dracula' for triple j's Like A Version, as reported by Billboard. The band reworked the 1994 ballad into a stripped-back, synth-driven take at triple j's Sydney studios.

Kevin Parker explained that 'Kiss From a Rose' was on the first CD he ever bought, the Batman Forever soundtrack. This soundtrack also introduced him to acts like U2, the Flaming Lips, and Nick Cave.

The session marks Tame Impala's fourth Like A Version cover. The band has had a successful year, with their song 'Dracula' reaching No. 1 on Pop Airplay and Hot Rock & Alternative Songs. They have also just completed their biggest Australian tour to date.

Tame Impala is set to return to the road in May 2027 for UK and European arena dates, followed by summer festival appearances. This cover performance matters to listeners because it showcases Tame Impala's ability to reimagine classic songs in their unique style.
