The Chicks were set to perform at Hollywood's Dolby Theatre, but hours before the show, they announced that it would be postponed due to illness, as reported by Rolling Stone.
The group made the announcement on Monday, November 2, and rescheduled the performance for Wednesday, November 4. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date, and refunds will be available for those who cannot attend.
This postponement comes as the Chicks are wrapping up their Taking the Long Way 20th anniversary tour, which celebrates their album released after a wave of backlash in 2003. The album spawned the single 'Not Ready to Make Nice' and earned the group five Grammy Awards.
Fans who had traveled from out of state and even from Canada expressed their disappointment and sadness over the postponement, with some unable to attend the rescheduled show. The Chicks are taking care of their health and will perform on Wednesday instead.
The postponement of the concert matters to listeners because it affects fans who were looking forward to seeing the Chicks perform live, and they will now have to wait until Wednesday to enjoy the show.
