St. Vincent Performs on The Tonight Show

St. Vincent recently appeared on The Tonight Show, as reported by Consequence, where she performed a highly-stylized version of 'Smoking Section' with guitarist Marc Ribot.

The performance, which took place on Monday night's episode, saw St. Vincent transform the stage into an intimate cocktail lounge setting, complete with dim lighting.

Annie Clark, aka St. Vincent, played steel guitar and was backed by Marc Ribot on guitar, Hannah Cohen, and two upright bass players, creating a new sound for the song from her 2017 album MASSEDUCTION.

In addition to the performance, Clark also participated in a game of Password with host Jimmy Fallon and guests Billy Crystal and Joe Keery.

This unique performance matters to listeners because it showcases St. Vincent's ability to reimagine her songs in new and exciting ways, making her music continue to be fresh and engaging for fans.
